May Nj Online Casino Revenue

According to revenue figures released by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), the state’s regulated online gambling market almost eclipsed its all-time monthly revenue record last month. All of the states regulated and licensed online gaming operators generated combined revenue of $38.34 million in May which is a modest $800,000-ish drop from its all-time record of $39.1 million that was generated in March. It is, however, worth noting that the May revenue figure was a stellar 57.8 percent year-on-year increase which is, by all means, a very positive development for that particular market.

Thankfully, Ocean Resort’s online business had a very respectable May. So, overall, the casino’s sportsbook is still making cash for the property. Still, one clear outcome is that online sports betting continues to expand its grip on the market. In New Jersey, 82.6% of the total dollars wagered on sports are wagered online. New Jersey brick-and-mortar casinos are still closed, but the online versions set record revenue in May. According to figures released by the New Jersey Department of Gaming Enforcement, online.

Unsurprisingly, the online casino vertical was responsiblefor most of the earnings – it shot up 63.3 percent year-on-year to more than$36.5 million. Online poker, on the otherhand, dropped 6.8 percent to just $1.8 million.

In total, the state’s online gambling operators generated a total of $52.09 million in online poker, online casinos, and online sports betting gross revenue which is a 1.8 percent decline from the $53.08 million that was recorded in the previous month. Some experts have attributed the fall to last month’s positioning as one of the slowest periods in the country’s sporting calendar.

The Success of Sports Betting in New Jersey

As the state’s gaming regulators released its monthly revenue reports, one of the most notable highlights was the sports betting vertical. The state just celebrated the one-year anniversary of its legalized sports betting industry that launched following a landmark ruling by the country’s Supreme Court. The industry has surprised everyone, to say the least, and continues to do so – already a total of over $3 billion has been wagered since it kicked off.

Putting all that into consideration, it is quite obvious thatthe industry has a very bright future both in the state as well as the rest ofthe United States. With online and mobile sports betting now in the mix, it issafe to say that the sky is the limit for the state’s sports betting industry.

May Nj Online Casino Revenue

During March 2019, the New Jersey state recorded its best ever online casino revenue figures with $40 million. This exceeded its previous high of $36 million by an incredible 11.5%.

Online gambling is growing fast. Since the launch of online sports betting, the growth in this segment is lifting other online segments such as online casino games (with the exception of online poker which is slightly odd). As the saying goes “The rising tide lifts all boats” – excluding poker boats which are grounded.

It appears that the ability to expand horizontally and cross market products has created the perfect online experience for NJ Online Gambling Operators.

Since the launch of online sports book in NJ only last August, growth has been steady with a sudden spike in March. Whether or not this is a seasonal trend has yet to be seen.

The leading online casino

The results of March 2019 show that the Golden Nugget and its licensed casino is stretching its lead over the rest of the pack. The Golden Nugget raised over $14 million in revenue for the month, being the only casino operator to exceed $10 million.

Casino Revenue Data

With revenue flat lining, Tropicana Virgin remains treading water being the second smallest revenue generator for the month. This is not surprising, given they do not have an online sports book to prop up online sales overall.

Borgata Casino and Resorts had a remarkable month shooting up the charts with an increase in revenue of over 34%. It’s online sports book also supporting online casino gaming.
